Frank Anderson

Mr. Anderson is the President of the Middle East Policy Previously, Mr. Anderson served in the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency for 26 years. He served three tours of duty in the Middle East as an agency station chief, headed the Afghan Task Force (1987-89), and was chief of the Near East and South Asia Division. He has contributed to a number of publications including Middle East Policy (“Qadhafi's Libya: The Limits of Optimism”), has been interviewed by the BBC, CNN, PBS, and Harper’s Magazine, and has participated in numerous panel discussions and conferences regarding the Middle East and South Asia. He served in the U.S. Army (Sgt, E-5) in the United States and Korea (1959-62). Mr. Anderson received his B.A. from the University of Illinois and graduated from the U.S. Foreign Service Institute's School for Arab language and Middle East Area studies in Beirut, Lebananon.
