| Keith L. Brown
Keith L. Brown is a Chairman of the Council of American Ambassadors and was President thereof from 1999 through 2004. He served as the US Ambassador to Denmark from January 1989 to March 1992. He also was the US Ambassador to Lesotho from 1982-1983. He is Chairman of the Board of Brown Investment Corporation, a real estate development, oil and gas exploration and investment management company. He is an attorney at law and a member of the Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado Bar Associations.
Ambassador Brown attended the University of Illinois and Northwestern University Law School, and received his LL.B. degree from the University of Texas in 1949. He was a founder and original partner of Vail Associates, Vail, Colorado, and served as a Director for many years. He has served as a Director of the Public Service Company of Colorado, Colorado State Bank, San Francisco Real Estate Trust, Pioneer Airways, Griffith Realty, Inc., National Western Stock Show Association, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Inc. He also served as a Trustee and past President of the Board of the Colorado Academy and Chairman of the International Institute of Education/World Affairs Council in Denver, Colorado.
He is a member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a member of the Board of the Foreign Affairs Museum Council, a member of The Washington Institute of Foreign Affairs and a member of The American Academy of Diplomacy. Ambassador Brown has long been active in Republican politics and served as Chairman of the Republican National Finance Committee, Washington, DC, from 1984-1988. He and his wife, Carol, make their homes in Vail, Colorado, and San Antonio, Texas, and he maintains a business office in Denver.
