Marc Grossman

Marc Grossman is a Vice Chairman of The Cohen Group, the strategic business consulting firm founded and headed by former Secretary of Defense and U.S. Senator William Cohen.

Ambassador Grossman was a career Foreign Service Officer from 1976 to 2005. He was Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs at the State Department from March 26, 2001 until February 25, 2005.  He also had served as Director General of the Foreign Service and Director of Human Resources, Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs and as U.S. Ambassador to Turkey. From 1984 to 1986 Ambassador Grossman was the Deputy Director of the Private Office of Lord Carrington, then Secretary General of NATO. 

Ambassador Grossman earned a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MSc. in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.  He serves on the Board of Directors/Trustees of a number of non-profit and educational institutions.  He teaches at Georgetown University (School of Foreign Service) and at Seton Hall University (Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations).
