Everett Ellis Briggs
In his over 30 years of service with the U.S. government, Ambassador (ret.) Briggs served as the Ambassador to Panama from 1982-1986, Ambassador to Honduras from 1986-1989 and the Ambassador to Portugal from 1990-1993. Under President George H.W. Bush Ambassador Briggs also served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Latin America and the Caribbean on the National Security Council. After government service Ambassador Briggs was President of the Council of the Americas and remains a respected voice on Latin American affairs.
