Paul Jones

Paul Jones leads International Government Relations for Raytheon Technologies, which is comprised of Pratt & Whitney, Collins Aerospace, Raytheon Missiles and Defense, and Raytheon Intelligence and Space.

During a 33-year career with the U.S. Department of State, Paul served as U.S. Ambassador to Poland, U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia, Charge d’Affaires in Pakistan, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan (under Richard Holbrooke), and Deputy Chief of Mission in the Philippines, North Macedonia, and at the U.S. Mission to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, Austria.

Earlier in his career, Paul served as executive assistant to the Head of Mission at the OSCE Mission in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (implementing the Dayton Peace Accords), Director of the Office for South Central Europe, Desk Officer for the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, at U.S. Embassies Moscow and Bogota, and twice on the staff of the Secretary of State, as Director of the Secretariat Staff and in the 24-hour Operations Center.

Paul’s awards include the Presidential Meritorious Service Award, the Robert C. Frasure Memorial Award for peace building, and several Superior Honor Awards. He speaks Spanish, Russian, and some Polish. He graduated from Cornell University and received master’s degrees from the University of Virginia and the Naval War College. He is married to Catherine Jones, daughter of Ambassador Brandon Grove. They have two children, Aleksandra and Hale.
