2014 Annual Meeting

The 2014 Academy Annual Meeting was held on Wednesday, May 28th, from 12 to 2 pm at the DLA Piper/Cohen Group conference center.

The annual meeting speaker was The Honorable Tom Perriello, who talked about the concerns and focus of the new Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review (QDDR). Perriello, a former Congressman from Charlottesville, Virginia has overseas experience in Africa and Afghanistan. He had been asked by Deputy Secretary Heather Higginbottom to lead the Department’s preparation of its second QDDR.

Additionally, the heads of Academy committees updated members on the work they had done in the past year.
