Minnesota is home to an array of immigrant and refugee communities and part of the global conversation on policies, program, and realities that impact the lives of millions.

The event started with a keynote address delivered by Eric Schwartz, former Humphrey School dean and current president of Refugees International, followed by a panel discussion (see panelists below). The panel discussion then explored the linkages between global refugee and migration policies and the realities of those programs for Minnesota communities.

The 2017 Joseph J. Sisco Memorial Forum was presented by the American Academy of Diplomacy in collaboration with the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
