- The Joseph J. Sisco Memorial Forum was presented by the American Academy of Diplomacy in collaboration with the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. Featured here (from L to R) Eric Schwartz, Phyllis Oakley, MayKao Hang, Ron Neumann and Carissa Slotterback.
- Ambassador Neumann presented this forum’s theme focused on exploring the linkages between global refugee and migration policies and the realities of those programs for Minnesota communities.
- Mr. Eric Schwartz, President of Refugees International, was the keynote speaker. “In the area of refugees, this isn’t a policy problem, it’s a political problem.”
- Ambassador Ronald Neumann, President of the American Academy of Diplomacy, was the panel discussion moderator.
- Dr. MayKao Hang, President of the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, offered the Minnesota perspective to the discussion. “What is your advice to students? A: Get out and get to know some of these communities. Get to know people who are different.”
- The Sisco Forum is an annual event held to encourage public discussion on pertinent foreign policy themes to which Dr. Joseph Sisco, former AAD Chairman, dedicated his career
