On October 25-26, 2023, the World Affairs Council of Charlotte hosted Ambassador Jo Ellen Powell for a program focused on the Blueprints Report. 

The program included a private dinner with Council members where Ambassador Powell shared anecdotes from her career, offering a unique perspective on shaping U.S. foreign policy and diplomatic strategies.

The Ambassadors Circle Series Luncheon hosted on the 26th included an audience of members, high school, and middle school students. Her presentation covered strategies to modernize the U.S. diplomatic service, the role of diplomacy in the contemporary global landscape, and opportunities within the Foreign Service. The students in attendance from Mallard Creek High School and South Academy of International Languages (SAIL), learned valuable guidance on diplomatic career paths.
