The Future of Diplomacy with Ambassador Michael Polt

The morning session included and interview between Ambassador Michael Polt and Dr. Kirsten Bookmiller, a Professor of the Department of Government, Policy, and Law. The session centered around Ambassador Polt's career in the Foreign service and welcomed over 40 students. Mrs. Halle Polt also participated in the conversation, offering insights into the rewards and challenges of being a Foreign Service spouse.


In the evening, the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg in collaboration with Millersville University hosted a presentation which drew a diverse audience of around 50, including Millersville students, members of the public, and

representatives from the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg. Ambassador Polt delivered an informative presentation on his work with the Leadership, Diplomacy, and National Security Lab, highlighting ideas for revitalizing the United States' diplomatic corps. The audience actively engaged with Ambassador Polt, posing questions on various topics, including the future impact of artificial intelligence on diplomacy and cybersecurity.
